A tour of the Ice Culture Inc. was arranged by Bob Schmidt for Probus members. On the tour, the group heard the stories behind the projects and learned how Iceculture earned its international reputation for quality workmanship and first-class service. They learned how 300 lb crystal clear ice blocks are made, watched carvers and CNC technicians at work inside the Studio Freezer, and experienced the ice sculptures in the 3500 square foot Display Freezer |
History and Description Iceculture was founded as a family business by Julian and Ann Bayley, and this family culture has been nurtured since the company’s inception, through Sam, Heidi and Christine as well as the entire staff of 15 full time employees. Iceculture has become a recognized leader in both the ice and special event industries worldwide. Used by a California-based liquor for its North American-wide ice requirements, customers across Canada, United States, India, Thailand, Dubai, Spain and Portugal have turned to Iceculture to handle major ice construction projects. NASA even called on Iceculture to produce sensitive ice components for the Return-to-flight program of the shuttle.
